Tucked away in the Tyne Valley, amidst our beef and sheep farm and on the fringes of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Langley Dam Glamping offers fantastic accommodation in our distinctive glamping cabins.

Our six 'Langley Longboat' cabins, perched along the banks of the Langley Dam Reservoir, boast unparalleled views across the 14-acre expanse of water and towards Whitfield Moor. Langley Dam, known for its commercial fly fishing and status as a Troutmaster water, invites guests to partake in its exceptional fishing opportunities (with applicable charges, albeit at a reduced rate for residents). Rowing boats are aso available to hire.

Inspired by the traditional clinker boats historically used by coastal communities for storing fishing gear, particularly on Northumberland’s Lindisfarne Island, our glamping cabins mimic the shape of upturned fishing boats, equipped with all the modern comforts to ensure a delightful living space throughout the seasons. Each cabin accommodates up to four guests, with Blackcleugh and Wheatleys featuring an additional child’s drop-down bunk suitable for a child up to 12 years old.

Beyond the stable-style doors, private decking leads to a gravel area where each cabin features a firepit and outdoor seating. Wood and charcoal for the firepit are purchasable at our fishing lodge, and fire-packs are also available for pre-order or purchase upon arrival. Please note, all firepit fuel must be sourced from the lodge. Equipped with a BBQ grill and cooking tripod, the firepits encourage outdoor culinary adventures, though personal BBQs are not permitted on site. Adjacent to your firepit, a BBQ locker contains all necessary BBQ equipment, including our cooking tripod and bowl, grill lifters, fire gauntlet, tongs, ash bucket and trowel, plus sand for optimal firepit operation and BBQ tools. This locker, accessible with the accommodation keyring, also serves as log storage for any pre-ordered packs. Foldaway dining table and chairs are provided for your convenience.

Cabins Blackcleugh, Wheatleys, & Bare Bones

These cabins can host 4 adults, featuring a fixed king-size bed with a luxurious mattress and a bunk above suitable for children under 12, allowing for a family of 5. Additionally, a double sofa bed with a luxury foam mattress is available. Notably, Bare Bones is a pet-free cabin, ideal for guests with allergies, whereas Blackcleugh and Wheatleys welcome dogs.

Cabins Wonneys & Rushy Lot

Designed for 4 adults, these cabins offer a curtained-off king-size bed area and a double sofa bed, both fitted with high-quality mattresses. Wonneys is designated as a pet-free cabin, perfect for those with allergies, while Rushy Lot accommodates guests and their canine companions.

Humbleton

This is our specially designed cabin, catering to guests with mobility needs without compromising comfort or style. Equipped with an accessible shower room featuring a floor-level shower tray, a raised toilet seat and grab rails, we've meticulously planned the space to include 1.5m turning circles for ease of movement. The cabin accommodates up to four guests, offering two fixed single beds, with one providing side access and a king-size double sofa bed, making it an ideal choice for families with older children who prefer not to share a bed.

For our younger guests, we offer a children's play area on-site, catering to ages 3 to 12. To complement our onsite nautical theme, the play area boasts a cargo net, slide, balance beams, a small boat and a raised boat platform, setting the stage for endless pirate-themed adventures and imaginative play.

We offer breakfast packs & burgers for sale too. Options include Full English, vegetarian & lighter breakfasts and the burgers are our own Belted Galloway burgers, these can be pre-ordered at the time of booking or just ask whilst you are here.
