Lower Porthamel Camping near Talgarth offers a range of accommodation, nestled on the edge of the majestic Brecon Beacons National Park. We are nestled on a charming working organic farm, perfect for an idyllic rural retreat in Powys.

Our pretty campsite provides a truly authentic camping experience, surrounded by stunning countryside. Our relaxed, cosy campsite even offers food preparation facilities, including a fabulous pizza oven. We also have a small sociable hub with phone and electric charging points. Facilities onsite include:

We also offer accommodation in The Camping Barn which is equipped with 10 camping beds, a long table, kitchen facilities and a toasty log wood burner for those chilly days. Self catering accommodation is available in the Llynfi farmhouse as well, for those who fancy a touch of luxury.

The microbrewery Sobremesa Drinks is next to the site.

Our campsite is home to a fabulous nature trail, with a gorgeous 2.5km round walk from our site passing through farm fields, an old railway line and lush woodlands. You can also enjoy a memorable picnic by The Llynfi, a beautiful stretch of river which runs down alongside the Nature Trail at Lower Porthamel.

The magnificent Brecon Beacons has something for everyone, including outstanding walking and cycling routes. Canoeing, Kayaking, Pony trekking, mountain bike riding and gliding are all on offer as well. You can also spend the day in Hay on Wye which is home bookshops, restaurants, pubs and antique shops. Superb attractions to visit include:
