Hill of Maunderlea Lodges is nestled in 14 acres of mature woodland, set on a small hill in the historic village of Aberchirder near Huntley. Our four newly built lodges provide luxury self catering accommodation in an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful location in Aberdeenshire.

All four of our luxury lodges boast panoramic views over the surrounding tranquil countryside and coast. Each lodge can accommodate up to six guests and are well equipped to the highest of standards.

The accommodation is split into two levels with the ground floor consisting of one double bedroom with king size bed, large wet room with shower and large open plan living/dining/kitchen area, making the lodges ideal those needing wheelchair access. Upstairs is a further double bedroom with king sized bed and balcony and a twin room and bathroom.

Each lodge is well equipped to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay with HDTV/Blu Ray player, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, hob and oven, microwave and toaster. They are also extremely cosy as each one has underfloor heating provided by air source pumps.

We also have an alternative self catering accommodation in ‘The Loft’ which is a spacious open plan accommodation sleeps two, ideal if you are passing through exploring our lovely countryside - whether you want to stay one night or one week!

The surrounding countryside is of gently rolling hills, dotted with market towns, woodland, small lochs and rivers which flow to a coastline punctuated with sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and rocky coves. There are also many interesting fishing villages and towns, including Portsoy and Pennan to explore. While exploring the local area why not do a bit of dolphin watching? Or learn to surf? There are many fabulous walks and cycle runs, pony trekking and of course fishing and not to mention the golf. If you prefer something more leisurely then there are many historic building and beautiful gardens to visit as well as the world famous whisky trail to experience.
