Details

Inverfyne has a fabulous position above the estuary of the River Fyne with superb views to the head of the Loch. Surrounded by quiet farmland on a 4,000-acre traditional country estate, this extremely spacious holiday home is the ideal setting from which to discover Scotland's glorious scenery, history and culture.

Throughout, the house is traditionally furnished in a relaxed country style. The 32’ living room with its picture windows, comfortable seating and open log fire creates the perfect focal point for gathering in the evenings after a day exploring this exceptionally beautiful area. This fabulously spacious room with armchairs and sofas at one end and a dining table at the other also boasts an upright piano and has a glass door leading to the garden where summertime drinks can be enjoyed while watching the sun go down over Loch Fyne. Each of the four spacious bedrooms benefits from lovely views and the well-equipped kitchen has lots of space with a wooden kitchen table and chairs.

We welcome dogs and their responsible owners. Please keep your dogs under control at all times as you will see that there are sheep everywhere in the fields and on the glen road when they are being moved!

If you are touring and would like to leave your dogs for the day, Pamela Tibbs at Croft Kennels, Cairndow (tel 01499 600239) is happy to look after them.

The surrounding area of Argyll is packed with wonderful sites and activities for all the family to enjoy. The nearby historic town of Inveraray has many interesting places to visit including the Castle (home of the Duke of Argyll), Inveraray Jail, a Maritime Museum and the Bell Tower with a world-famous peal of ten bells. Argyll Adventure Park offers a good day for all ages with riding, laser blast arena, laser clay shooting, bungee trampolines and a climbing wall. There is a quad bike safari base at Ardentinny & wonderful garden walks through the Ardkinglas Woodland Garden in Cairndow, The Botanic Garden on Loch Eck (an outpost of the Edinburgh Botanic Garden) and Crarae at Mindard south of Inveraray owned by the National Trust.
