Craigard House Hotel is an imposing Victorian Mansion built overlooking Campbeltown Loch, in a quiet cul-de-sac near the harbour and town centre. Our pet friendly hotel is close to the famous Mull of Kintyre and is warmed by the Gulf Stream, meaning that the temperature is higher than the norm; there is little or no snow or ice; and the plants and foliage are luxuriant

The hotel has a variety of room types available. Of the thirteen bedrooms, the occupancy is arranged as follows:

One four poster Master Bedroom Junior Suite - sleeps 2 in a super king double, with the option of an extra bed (bow window front sea view, sitting and dining area).

Five family rooms (double or king size double) with one single bed (all but two with sea view).

One family room with king size double and two single beds (front and side sea view).

Five double rooms (two with sea view).

One single bed room.

One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and is ideal for the elderly or those with limited mobility.

All of the hotel rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished and have access to Wi-Fi internet. We aim to provide a relaxing retreat for those who are looking to escape the stresses of everyday living which is why we provided added luxuries to make you feel at home such as huge fluffy towels, bathrobes, complimentary toiletries, still & sparkling water and a comprehensive welcome tray. We also offer free Wi-Fi access.

Our hotel has an award winning restaurant. Craigard's style of cooking and menu design relies on fresh local seafood, shellfish, meat, cheese, produce and game, with a final touch of magic in the painstaking and imaginative preparation and presentation. Chef delights in using the fabulous fresh produce this area has to offer. His style is eclectic, drawing on many influences but based on classic dishes. He makes his own bread and rolls, and the inventive daily specials – using the catch of the day - and delightful desserts add an extra dimension to the menu.

Beanie is the resident canine member of the Craigard Team. She offers a guest walking service, as well as good company in the hotel. If you have the time to spare, she will take you on a sightseeing tour. Beanie welcomes other dogs and he would be happy to take you on a tour of the local area if you don’t have your own pooch!

For those who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors along with the wonderful scenery, there is also the Kintyre Way walking trail; mountain bike trails; a swimming pool and tennis courts nearby; as well as several golf courses, notably Machrihanish GC for which Craigard guests benefit from 10% discount on Green Fees. Whisky lovers may enjoy visits to the local Springbank or Glen Scotia Distilleries.
