Loudoun Mains Country Cottages offer self catering holiday accommodation situated in Newmilns, Ayrshire. This self catering cottage is based in a prime location 30 minutes from the Commonwealth Games village.

Holidays at Loudoun Mains have been happening for over 25 years now and have evolved from the original basic farmhouse B&B to now offer a complete package of self-catering villas, apartments and terraced cottages with a full Country Club on site. We have a small but beautiful, fully stocked fishpond set in a tranquil part of the countryside at Loudoun Mains and a fantastic children’s play area on site.

Arran Views 1, 2, 6 and 7, form part of a west facing terrace block of seven units. Each has its own private patio with garden table and chairs and sleeps a maximum of 3 with a double and single bed in each upstairs bedroom. The downstairs of each cottage is accessed through a sliding glass door from the private patio and comprises of fully equipped kitchen which is open plan with a breakfast bar, lounge area and bathroom with electric shower. The holiday cottages are centrally linked by a corridor, which leads to the laundry room. All of the above cottages are fully WiFi compatible and there is ample parking for as many vehicles as you require.

Arran View 3 is part of a west facing terrace block of seven units. It has its own private patio with garden table and chairs and sleeps a maximum of 4 adults with a double bed in the upstairs bedroom and a fold down wall bed in the lounge. The downstairs of this cottage is accessed through a sliding glass door from the private patio and comprises of fully equipped kitchen which is open plan with a breakfast bar, lounge area and bathroom with electric shower. A corridor, which leads to the laundry room, centrally links Arran View 3, it is fully WiFi compatible and there is ample parking for as many vehicles as you require.

Arran View 4 is a ground floor only cottage, which is part of the West facing Arran View terrace block. The cottage is accessed through a sliding glass door from the private patio with garden table and chairs. It has a fully equipped kitchen with an open plan layout and a breakfast bar plus stools, which overlooks the lounge area. The bathroom is on the ground floor and comprises of WC, WHB and bath with electric shower over. This cottage is centrally linked by a corridor, which leads to the laundry room. This cottage is suited to less able guests, because it is all on one level, but it is tight for wheelchair use. This cottage is fully WiFi compatible and there is ample parking for as many vehicles as you require.

Arran View 5 forms part of the West facing terrace block of seven units, and is the only 2-bedroom unit within this terrace block. Both bedrooms are upstairs one having a double bed and the other, two single beds. The downstairs of this cottage is accessed through a sliding glass door from the private patio with garden table and chairs. The fully equipped kitchen is open plan with a breakfast bar plus stools and overlooks the lounge area. The bathroom is on the ground floor and comprises of WC, WHB and bath with electric shower over. This cottage is centrally linked by a corridor, which leads to the laundry room. This cottage is fully WiFi compatible and there is ample parking for as many vehicles as you require.

This first floor 2 bedroom apartment is south facing with an open plan living room kitchen with breakfast bar and stools. One bedroom is a double and one is a twin with a pull out sofa bed in the lounge should it be required. The bathroom comprises of WC, WHB, bidet and bath with electric shower. This apartment is accessed by a steep staircase with a handrail on both sides and is not suitable for the less able bodied. It has its own private patio area with communal entrance corridor. It has internal access to the laundry room and is fully WiFi compatible, and there is ample parking for as many vehicles as you require.

These open plan three bedroom Villas are south facing with their own private patio with garden table and chairs. They are equipped with full central heating throughout and a combination-condensing boiler provides hot water. The bedrooms comprise of one double, one twin room and one guest room (twin) there is when available a pull out sofa bed which can be placed in the lounge area. The kitchen is open plan with breakfast bar and stools; it is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave oven, electric oven, gas hob and fridge freezer. The dinning area has seating for 4/6/8 depending on requirements, although crockery will be provided for up to 8 people. The lounge is open plan with DVD, Digital TV receiver and seating for up to 8 where required. The open plan balcony area is ideally suited to sitting relaxing and watching the ducks on the pond.

On the beautiful Clyde Coast, Ayrshire has a lot to offer both holiday makers and residents. Brimming in history with ancient castles, overflowing in beauty with country parks and countryside walks and abundant in outdoor activities from its famous golf courses to clay pigeon shooting and a dry ski slope, there is more than enough to keep everyone entertained.
