Pen y Cae Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation situated in New Quay, Ceredigion. Our cottage is a lovely 4 star graded property that sleeps up to 12 people in very spacious accommodation.

Our cottage, an old farm barn conversion, includes five bedrooms, and three bathrooms and is mainly on one level, set in very large peaceful grounds. Ideally located just one mile outside the seaside town of New Quay and a 10 minute walk to the Cardigan Bay coastal path.

We have a refurbished kitchen that comes with a high vaulted ceiling and an original Welsh slate slab floor. The kitchen includes new units, a large electric range style oven and gas cooker. The dining area includes an old farmhouse table that seats at least 12. A highchair is also provided.

There is a utility room off the kitchen/diner with fridge, small under counter size freezer, washing machine and microwave. Also provided are all the required pots, pans and cooking utensils.

Unwind in the large sitting room that comes with a wood-burning stove set in an Inglenook fireplace, LCD smart TV and comfy seating. This is a dual-aspect room with French doors to the back garden and an arched window overlooking part of the front garden. The room features beamed ceilings and a wooden open-tread staircase to above the double bedroom.

We have 4 double bedrooms (1 family room with its own en suite bathroom including an overhead shower) and twin beds up on a mezzanine, *beware steep stairs & low head room * and 1 twin single room.

Outside we have a large BBQ (needs charcoal) and seating in the top patio. We also have extra seating areas all around the gardens, including a picnic table and benches.

We are in a great location for exploring New Quay, an old fishing village that springs to life in summer, it becomes a bustling town with plenty to do, it boasts clean safe sandy beaches, watersports, sea fishing trips and wildlife/dolphin viewing boat trips. It is an excellent base from which to tour north, mid and south Wales with their diverse attractions. Beach Fishing in New Quay and nearby Cwmtydu are excellent places for Bass.
