Seagull Barn is a romantic 2 bedroom cottage in Boscastle which is perfect for a tranquil breakaway. Our cottage in Cornwall is a great place to escape to from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Our cottage is the perfect hideaway and comes with many character features including a solid slate fireplace with wood burner, open beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls.

Seagull Barn has a lovely enclosed garden and patio area with garden furniture and barbeque for summer evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge with freezer compartment. An AGA adds to the character, but it is not in working order. The living area is reached via a stable door from the kitchen. At one end of the living room, situated below a bay window, there is a dining table overlooking the pretty garden. A wonderful wood burner set into the solid slate fireplace makes for a really cosy atmosphere with 2 sofas to relax into.

The principal bedroom is split over two levels with the king-size bed positioned on a platform in order to take advantage of the delightful views through a large arched feature window. (NB. low eaves above the bed). There is an en suite shower room with WC, and downstairs there is a twin bedroom, next to a bathroom and WC. Bed linen is provided at the property with beds made upon arrival for your comfort. All electricity and oil are included in the tariff.

A cot and highchair are also provided free of charge should you require them and towels can be hired. We do welcome one well-behaved dog at a cost of £25. There is parking for one car. Wi-Fi at the property.

Boscastle is a spectacular Elizabethan harbour designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has shops, pubs, restaurants and a visitor’s centre, but please note it is a long steep walk down from the cottage. However, you can take the car and park at the bottom should you not fancy the climb back.

Historic Tintagel is only 3 miles away, while Bude (20 minutes by car) offers all the desired seaside attractions including surfing. In the other direction, you are only 20 minutes from Polzeath, one of Cornwall’s most popular family beaches – again another favourite with the surfers and bodyboarders and there are plenty of places to hire a wet suit in the chillier months. The North Cornwall Coast path is not too far away and nearby you can enjoy, seal-spotting, bird watching, coarse and sea fishing and horse riding.
