Summercourt Cottages offers wonderful self catering accommodation in St Martin near Looe. Located on the gorgeous Bodigga Cliffs in Cornwall, we are perfect for an idyllic break away.

The cottages are 17th-Century stone-built barns and haylofts which has been tastefully converted. Each cottage comes with well equipped kitchens, comfortable open plan living areas and modern shower/bathrooms. Each cottage also has a delightful outdoor seating area where you can savour glorious views over the neighbouring fields and valley.

Byre Cottage: This charming cottage sleeps up to 2 people in a double bedroom. There is an open plan living room and kitchen and a bathroom with a shower and bath. Outside there is a private seating area from where you can admire the view.

Linhay Cottage: Linhay sleeps up to 3 people in one bedroom with a double and a single bed. There is an open plan living room and kitchen and a bathroom with a shower and bath. The back of the cottages faces fields and a valley and to the front, there is a spacious blocked paved area.

Granary Cottage: Our lovely property sleeps up to 5 (+cot) in two bedrooms: a double bed upstairs and two/ three single beds downstairs. A large and separate lounge opens into a kitchen/diner. A bathroom comes with a shower and bath. The property backs on to the play area with views across the valley.

Smithy Cottage: This superb cottage sleeps up to 3 people in two bedrooms (a double and a single). The upside-down cottages has a downstairs bathroom (shower only) and bedrooms. Upstairs is a lounge with a separate kitchen area.

Hayloft Cottage: Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms (double and two singles). Sorry, no cot. They are upside down cottages with downstairs bathroom (shower only) and bedrooms. Upstairs is a lounge with a separate kitchen area.

Stables Cottage: Sleeps 4 (+cot) in two bedrooms: a double upstairs and two single beds downstairs. A separate small cosy lounge opens onto a spacious open plan kitchen/diner. The bathroom comes with a shower and bath.

Main House: This spacious property sleeps up to 6 guests (7 with a sofa bed). There are 2 double bedrooms (one en suite) and another bedroom with 2 single beds. The house has a beautiful private courtyard with palm trees, a BBQ and children’s play area with a trampoline.

We are adjacent to the South West Coastal Path which offers magnificent views of Whitsand Bay and the entrance to Looe Harbour, one of the new Marine Conservation Zones ). Just sit on the cliff and relax or have a barbeque in the evening. For the garden lovers, superb and unusual plants are for sale at the Duchy Nurseries, National Trust Lanhydrock and lots of unusual named and long-forgotten types of fruit trees are available at Endsleigh Nurseries, Milton Abbot.

Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, now famously associated with the film War Horse, are a short drive away and is a must for walkers and hikers. The SW Coastal Path, right opposite the cottages, offers wonderful walks from Summercourt to Polperro via Looe and to Rame Head, Plymouth Sound and Mount Edgcombe via Seaton beach and Whitsand Bay.

Sailing, fishing, diving and riding are all available nearby. Two golf courses are available at Looe and Whitsands with St Mellion International Course a short distance away. Arrangements can be made for either a sailing or canoeing experience in the Tamar valley.
