Lake District Estates is a family-owned business based in Kendal, the Lake District. We have a collection of holiday parks, two visitor attractions, plus the Peter Rabbit and Friends™ shops.

Our holiday parks can be found in some of the most beautiful areas of the North West, including the Lake District National Park and Kirkby Lonsdale which sits on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We also have a marina complex near Carnforth in Lancashire.

We offer a range of self-catering dog-friendly accommodation including lake view apartments, glamping pods, S-Pods and Hive Cabins, cottages, caravans, and touring pitches. We even have holiday homes for sale.

We also own two of the Lake District's much loved tourist attractions, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway and award-winning Ullswater ‘Steamers’.

Ullswater 'Steamers' have been sailing on England’s most beautiful lake for over 160 years. Operating one of the largest heritage vessel fleets in the world, visitors are welcomed aboard to experience the Ullswater Valley from the water and access a variety of excellent walks. The fleet sails a serpentine course for eight miles through expansive vistas of Lakeland’s highest mountains, including the iconic Helvellyn.

Known affectionately as La’al Ratty meaning little railway in old Cumbrian dialect, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is one of the oldest and longest narrow gauge railways in England. Our fleet of heritage steam engines journey from Ravenglass to its final destination some seven miles up the line at Dalegarth for Boot station. At the start, the journey offers spectacular views over the low lying estuaries, before steadily climbing into the valley towards England’s highest mountains.
