Wellwood Lodge sleeps 14 guests in 6 double bedrooms and is set in an elevated and quiet position in the historic spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire. This spacious house is ideally situated for experiencing the varied landscape of the Peak District National Park, where rugged moors and pretty dales offer an abundance of activities from walking, cycling, climbing, caving and fishing.

Very spacious lounge, with coal effect gas fire, 40 inch TV, DVD and CD players, leather lounge seating for everyone to sit in comfort. Occasional tables and lamps add to the ambience.

Dining room, seating for 14 around a 90 x 90 inches table, graced with elegant white contemporary crockery and Oneida stainless cutlery. We have added a 32-inch lazy susan to add to the fun of reaching your condiments etc and is also popular for self-invented games, the opportunities are endless! The well-equipped kitchen has ample work surfaces and storage, an electric Neff oven, grill and microwave, a range style 6 burner gas hob and 2 electric ovens with grills, dishwasher and fridge/freezer There are pots, pans, a Kenwood chef, Kenwood commercial food processor and every utensil to make light work of food preparation.

The kitchen leads through to the recently renovated Victorian style conservatory with sitting area, and door to rear garden. Downstairs newly refitted toilet with shower cubicle and washbasin; utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

First Floor:

Bathroom with toilet, washbasin, and shower over bath. Shower room with toilet and washbasin. 4 bedrooms all with fitted wardrobes.

Second Floor:

1 twin bedroom and 1 double bedroom with extra single bed (for twin use).

Buxton is home to a selection of festivals including a Jazz festival in February and the Opera season during July and August. The town is vibrant with contemporary culture while retaining grace and serenity from a bygone era. If you are looking for activity and culture on your holiday, this fantastic house in the Peak District is a great choice, at any time of the year. Trains and buses depart from the town to all the many and varied attractions of the Peak district making Wellwood lodge the ideal holiday location even if you don't arrive by car, and if you do you can let the train take the strain!
