Cowclose Barn is situated on the eastern edge of The Peak District in a peaceful location overlooking the Linacre Valley with its woods and reservoirs. We have 4 star rating from Visit England. There are numerous walks from the door. The wonderful Peak District is close by.

Cowclose Barn comprises 2 adjoining cottages which have modern conveniences but retain their character including original exposed beams and other features. We have extensive gardens, an orchard with a pond, and a greenhouse, and guests are welcome to strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, herbs and other produce.

DOWNSTAIRS

There is a kitchen with double oven gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, washing machine and dishwasher (the tumble drier is in a cupboard under the stairs). The lounge has a large settee and 2 easy chairs, TV with large screen and DVD occasional tables and electric stove. The spacious dining room has a large table with 5 chairs and side table. There is a door onto the patio. The single bedroom has a wardrobe and bedside table. No bathroom downstairs)

UPSTAIRS

The stairs lead from the dining room to 2 en suite carpeted bedrooms (toilet, washbasin, shower, heated towel rail). There is a Double Bedroom, with bespoke pine dressing table, drawers and small wardrobe. This room has particularly interesting original beams. At the other side of the landing is the Twin Bedroom. It has original beams, bespoke pine dressing table, and wardrobe.

There is a spacious lounge/diner with sofabed, easy chair, round dining table with 4 chairs, TV with DVD, occasional table and electric stove.

The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave oven and fridge-freezer. Complimentary laundry facilities are available on site.

The large bathroom has bath with shower, toilet and washbasin.

UPSTAIRS

There is a large bedroom with a NEW kingsize bed and bespoke pine dressing table, drawers and bedside drawers. There is a built-in wardrobe. There is space for a travel cot/junior bed. This room has fabulous views over the Linacre Valley.
