New Barn Cottages in Colloaton St Mary offers wonderful self catering accommodation, set in lush countryside. Based in a tranquil part of Devon, we are the perfect base for exploring Dartmoor and Paignton.

Our 5 pet friendly properties are all ideal for a magical holiday in a great location. The cottages are based in 15 acres of beautiful grounds, with lots of sitting out areas with garden furniture dotted around. All great spots for admiring the amazing country views. Excellent facilities include BBQs, a football field and use of 6 fishing lakes (including carp and specimen fishing).

Lambs Gate: This tastefully furnished cottage is the ultimate country retreat. On the ground floor there is a living area with smart TV, a dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Two bedrooms are available: two king rooms which can be made into twins. A shower room is also available.

Dartmoor View: Our charming cottage sleeps 6 people and is great for a family or group looking for a spacious property to stay in. On the ground floor there is a living room with smart TV and French doors which open onto the courtyard. The kitchen is well-equipped and enjoy some home-cooked delights in the dining room. Additionally, there is a bunk room and a shower room. On the first floor there is a king room, a double room and a bathroom.

Anglers Rest: This delightful cottage sleeps 6 people and includes a cosy living room with smart TV and patio doors. The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up a storm. The ground floor also houses a shower room and a separate WC. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms: 2 kings which can be made into twins and a double. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Oak Tree Cottage: Great for a couple, this wonderful cottage sleeps 2 in a king size bed on the first floor which also houses a bathroom. On the ground floor there is a cosy living/dining area with a smart TV, fully equipped kitchen and shower room.

Poachers Cottage: Our superb cottage sleeps 2 in a king bed, great for a romantic getaway. The bed can also be made into a twin. There is a shower room, cosy open plan living/dining area with smart TV, a dining area and fully equipped kitchen.

We provided a lovely welcome pack and you can use a utility room which has a coin-operate washing machine and tumble dryer.

This part of the country has lots to do and see for the whole family. Whatever you enjoy, you’ll find it here: from building sandcastles to walking in the wilderness, there’s an activity for every member of the family. Close by is the holiday town of Paignton which has a fantastic zoo. If you would like good walks and cycling Dartmoor is the place to go. Further afield you can take the Steam Railway all the way to Plymouth.
