Farwood Barton offers self catering accommodation by the village of Northleigh, near the small town of Colyton in Devon. There are three barn conversions for guests to choose from all completed to a high standard. Our self catering holiday homes are only four miles from the coast and have south facing with panoramic views of the unspoiled East Devon countryside.

The Wheel House: A thoughtfully converted spacious one level holiday cottage has views to open farmland from every room. Sleeping up to eight people plus a cot, the cottage has three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are double with en suite rooms and the other is a twin. Two more can snuggle on a sofa bed in a curtained off area of the spacious lounge. The dining table sits up to eight people but when the two cottages are rented together with family or friends we will change the table for the banqueting table which will sit up to fourteen people easily. In the lounge is where you find the turbine which is covered with safety glass and was last used 70 years ago to drive milling and other old machinery. The kitchen is fully equipped offering everything you will need for a self catering break. There are just a few steps into the large lawned/patio area which joins the tennis court. It has its own barbecue and garden furniture. The Cottage has ample parking.

The Leat House: Sleeps up to 4 plus a cot and includes a king-size bedroom and a super king/twin room, both of which are en suite. This holiday cottage has an open plan well-equipped kitchen/dining/lounge area. All of the rooms feature vaulted ceilings with original beams and brick features giving a glimpse of history along with contemporary styling. The lounge has a log burner for cosy nights on autumn/winter breaks. There is also a 32” TV and separate DVD player, radio/CD player, a selection of DVD’s, books and games for your use.

The Apple Loft: This holiday cottage sleeps up to four people in one double bedroom and a sofa bed. The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area offers a sofa bed, dining table with four chairs, TV/DVD player, radio, CD player, a range of books, DVDs and games. The lounge also has a cosy log burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need for a self catering holiday.

Farwood Barton Holiday cottages are ideally placed between coast and countryside three miles from the picturesque town of Colyton with its quiet winding streets and tramway running to the coast at Seaton through the bird rich Axe Marshes. A ten minute journey into the Blackdown Hills AONB takes you to Honiton famous for its lace making where there is a friendly market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. To the south lies the fossil rich Jurassic Coast a World Heritage Site. Branscombe has steep sided valleys and a long beach while Beer offers a sheltered harbour where fishing trips can be arranged from the beach. To the East lies Lyme Regis with the famous Cobb Harbour and then Charmouth, famous for its fossil beach. Further afield but still within reach are the cathedral city of Exeter with its underground passages and the county towns of Taunton and Dorchester with Maiden Castle close by.
