The Rose Cottage was once a traditional country pub and today provides dog friendly self catering accommodation within the picturesque village of Alciston, East Sussex. The small town of Polegate is a short drive away. Brighton and Hove are only 15 miles away.

There are five self catering options available:

Beacon View is on the ground floor and has a double room with en suite facilities. It also has an open plan kitchen/diner with sofa bed.

The Loft is on the first floor and includes a double bedroom, en suite facilities and open plan kitchen/living room.

The Parlour is attached to the pub with its own private entrance and offers a spacious double room with en suite facilities.

Hikers Rest is a detached wooden cabin next to the inn. It is a double bedroom with en suite facilities.

We allow dogs in Hikers Rest 2 as well as Hikers Rest 1, only suitable for small dogs with their owners. The other self catering options take dogs of any size.

This area is ideal for walking. The Old Coach road is great for walks as are Alfriston and Firle. There are many interesting towns close to the self catering accommodation. Alternatively, guests can visit attractions including Seven Sisters, Knockhatch Adventure Park, Michelham Priory and Herstmonceux Castle.

Rates: £80 - £150 per night.

We reserve the right to charge for dogs. One dog is free but more than one may attract a surcharge of £10 per dog per night.
