Apple Tree Cottages are 3 beautifully appointed self catering holiday cottages that stand on a dairy farm outside of Saltmarshe near Howden, East Yorkshire. Our pet friendly holiday cottages are all single story and have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and to the river and fields behind the holiday homes.

Orchard Cottage is sat at the edge of the apple orchard and has an open plan living space. There is a comfy lounge area that has squashy sofas and includes a sofa bed for extra guests. It has a log burner, a DVD and radio. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher and guests can sit at our antique pine table. Sleeps 5.

River Cottage has a warm and relaxing atmosphere as well as a log burning fire, creating a calm and tranquil ambience after a day exploring the local area. There are 2 superbly appointed bedrooms, a double which is en suite and a twin. Sleeps 4.

Yew Tree Cottage is our newest holiday home and is tucked away to the rear of the farm. The well equipped kitchen leads onto the double-height lounge which offers an extremely comfortable place for guests to relax. The ground floor twin/king size bedroom will intrigue guests with a ladder leading to a mezzanine level. Sleeps 2.

Saltmarshe is very well placed for guests visiting the wider Yorkshire region. Not only are we deep in the countryside, with its peace and tranquillity, but we are also within easy reach of the coast. From our delightful holiday cottages, you can visit York and Beverley and many historic stately homes such as Castle Howard, all within an hour's drive. For retail therapy, you are spoilt for choice and are within easy reach of retail centres such as Meadowhall, Hull, Doncaster, York and Leeds.
