“CROESO” (Welsh for) “Welcome” to Maesgwm, tucked away in the heart of the Coed-y-Brenin Forest and Snowdonia National Park in picturesque North Wales.

As two well equipped properties located on a two-hundred year old farm, the Cottage and Barn are ideal for those looking either to relax on a peaceful quiet holiday, or those looking for an adrenalin packed mountain biking adventure. Located close to many popular tourist locations, make Maesgwm help you, to have the holiday you are looking for.

The Farmhouse:

The farmhouse is full of original features and offers a large beamed lounge with a wood burner. A starter pack of logs is provided and a further supply of wood can be obtained at a small fee. It has a well-equipped kitchen/diner with ample space for six people. A small shower/toilet is centrally located on the ground floor. The utility room houses the oil boiler for central heating and there is an enclosed patio at the rear with tables and chairs.

A King size bedroom and two twin accommodates six persons on the first floor. All bed linen is included. A cot can be provided but not with linen. A spacious bathroom overlooks the garden. There is ample space for parking and areas for BBQ. Storage for bikes and outside washing facilities is available.

The Barn:

The barn is on five different levels and used to be the cowshed, two haylofts, granary and a stable for the two horses. In 2004 we decided to convert these into accommodation and wherever possible have kept the original features but incorporated modern appliances. The barn offers a large oak floor lounge with views towards Snowdonia.

The well-equipped kitchen/ diner with high ceiling is centrally situated. The en-suite king-size bedrooms on the lower ground floor and has its own outside entrance. The double room is in the stable and has the use of the main shower room. Two further rooms (each with one single and a cabin bunk) are in the granary and have the benefit of a further shower room.

Leading outside from the kitchen there is a patio with table and chairs. There is ample room for eight persons, and a large area for parking.
