The New Forest Inn is an 18th Century country pub that offers bed and breakfast accommodation situated in Emery Down near Lyndhurst in Hampshire.

The New Forest Inn has 4 letting rooms. All our rooms are unique but that is a part of the charm of staying in a country pub. Our rooms at the B&B are all on the first floor and have 24 hour separate access.

Room 1 - A very small double room, with oversized wardrobe and dressing table but does have a flat screen TV (with DVD player) and tea & coffee making facilities. The en suite is large - being long and narrow with a lino floor and a quirky step into the shower.

Room 2 - A very pleasant larger room, which has two comfortable twin beds, with bedside tables. These can be pushed together if you prefer. There is also room for the single fold out chair bed if you require an extra bed. This does suit an adult or child. The en suite is a bath and shower and is always warm. The window from the room overlooks the garden and the wardrobe and dressing table is large enough for 3 people. As with all the en suite rooms, this also has the flat screen TV with DVD player and tea and coffee making facilities.

Room 3 - This is everyone’s favourite double en suite room as it is comfortably big enough and has a relatively new en suite shower. The chair bed can also fit in this room (although we only have one so please ask if you require it). It is a nice bright room and overlooks the front of the pub where ponies can be seen ambling by. Again this room has flat screen TV with DVD player and tea and coffee making facilities.

Room 4 - Also at the front of the B&B this is a smaller room and has the shower and toilet across the hallway so is not en suite as such. The shower room and toilet are not shared with anyone else and is literally a couple of steps away. A bit of a creaky room this has a lot of character and has tea and coffee making facilities with TV.

Although most of our guests at the bed and breakfast enjoy a substantial, delicious meal, a nice glass of wine or ale or two and a relaxing evening in the pub and amble up to bed in there after an enjoyable evening.

We offer superb value for money homemade traditional menu with locally sourced food and a large selection of fresh fish dishes and amazing specials board. Sunday lunch is a must – excellent traditional roast meats served with fluffy roast potatoes and probably the best gravy in the forest. We are also a very dog friendly pub, with dogs welcome in the whole pub, restaurant and garden.
