The Riverside at Aymestrey, nestled deep in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside, maintains its original features and historic atmosphere created by over 300 years of hospitality. It is located within the village of Aymestrey which is within close proximity from Leominster.

The Riverside Inn has accommodated guests since 1600 and has now been beautifully brought up to date without losing any original character or charm. One of our guest rooms is also individually haunted by the friendly lady from the river. All our en suite guest rooms have been individually furnished and include as a standard, feather and down duvets, white linen and Welsh blankets, flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, mini bar, homemade biscuits with fresh ground coffee and tea making facilities and complimentary Noble Isle toiletries.

For more luxury and space, we have our suites that consist of a lounge, bathroom and bedroom. The Hayloft suite overlooks the river and opens out directly onto the ornamental terrace gardens and over the valley. The Stable suite opens onto the courtyard and is perfect for the less mobile and those with dogs.

All of our room rates are based upon two people sharing and include a full English breakfast. Breakfast is always individually and freshly cooked using local ingredients, including freshly laid eggs from the village and for diners with dogs, we have designated “dog tables” in the bar, let us know you need one when you book.

From your base at The Riverside Inn, you can comfortably visit five golf courses, many churches, the black and white village trail, Ludlow, Hereford, houses and gardens, heritage sites, breweries, cider presses and cheese wrights, visitor centres and even a mountain bike trail. We have a good selection of circular walks ranging from 3 to 15 miles length; the most popular takes you to an Iron Age Hill Fort then onto Croft Castle with its 1000 years of history.
