Drover's Rest Farm is a working sheep farm on the outskirts of Hay-on-Wye which provides wonderful pet friendly glamping accommodation. We are nestled in a rural setting, just over 30 minutes from Hereford, perfect for a special getaway in an idyllic location.

We are tucked away at the foothills of the Black Mountains in the Golden Valley, surrounded by 20 acres of fields, a forest, plus a bubbling brook running through. We are a haven for nature lovers looking for the ultimate country retreat.

You can enjoy the height of luxurious glamping in our posh safari tents. These gorgeous tents blend the outdoors and indoors seamlessly, offering a tranquil and relaxing place to stay. The tents are set in a grassy wildflower meadow, enjoying fabulous views of the pastures dotted with black sheep. Facilities include double/twin beds, a private monsoon shower in the stable block, a fridge, wood burner, kitchen, gas stove and BBQs.

We also offer accommodation in our charming cabin, based at the top of the glamping field. The cabin offers modern, sumptuous accommodation combined with a rustic and earthy atmosphere. The veranda is the perfect spot for a morning coffee whilst enjoying the rural views. Facilities include double/twin rooms, a monsoon shower, fridge, wood burner, kitchen, gas stove and BBQs.

In the summer we offer a magical pop-up bell tent village, providing a unique festival vibe. Each tent has a double and 2 singles, Egyptian cotton bedding and towels, a table and benches, plus a fire bowl which doubles as a BBQ. Additionally, there are luxury toilets and shower in shepherd huts and an outdoor kitchen.

Throughout the year we open the farm kitchen and larder to guests. From indulgent 5 course feasts to a wood-fire pizza nights, you will not be disappointed. Our food is created using fresh seasonal ingredients from the fields and grown organically on the farm. You can also treat yourself to some delicious food from our farm shop, including meat and BBQ boxes.

This pet friendly accommodation is in the ideal setting for walking and outdoor activities. We can also offer educational farm tours, workshops, pony rides and falconry displays.
