West Heath Barn offers outstanding self catering holiday cottages in Great Massingham, Norfolk. Our two cottages near Sandringham are perfect for a tranquil and relaxing countryside retreat away, yet are only 25 minutes from the stunning North Norfolk beaches.

Our two cottages have been beautifully restored from barns that date back to the 1850s. Each cottage is brimming with character and comes with vaulted ceilings, terracotta tiled floors and under floor heating. Especially designed to be very dog friendly, both cottages make no concessions on comfort and style. They are particularly popular with our canine guests as the large and fully enclosed dog exercise paddock is just a stone’s throw away and is the gateway to the rural network of paths that surround us.

The Dairy: Our charming cottage sleeps 4 to 6 people and links to one of our B&B rooms in the main barn should you wish to accommodate a further 2 guests. The bedrooms have handmade wrought iron beds. The 2 en suite bathrooms have either a bath with shower over or a large walk in shower. A sofa bed is also available. Our property is well suited for the less mobile as there are no stairs or steps inside the cottage and there is a large walk in shower in the twin room.

The fully equipped kitchen will suit all your needs and the utility room offers a washing machine, tumble dryer and laundry facilities. The lounge has 3 sofas, a wood burner, smart TV and DVD player. This is an ideal place for relaxing and unwinding after a busy day exploring the local area. Outside there are table and chairs. The perfect place for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

The Cart Lodge: Our lovely cottage sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms. The bedrooms have handmade wrought iron beds and the bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The large and bright open plan living area has doors which open onto the courtyard area. Facilities in the living area include a smart TV and DVD player. The well equipped kitchen comes with a washer dryer and dishwasher. Outside is a lovely patio area with a table and chairs. This is the ideal place for a spot of al fresco dining.

Both cottages include bed linen and towels.

Great Massingham is an ideal base from which to explore all that Norfolk has to offer. Whether your interest is visiting the stunning Norfolk beaches, some retail therapy, historic houses or a spot of bird watching, you’ll find you run out of time before you run out of things to do and see.
