Maple Barns in Swanton Morley offers outstanding self catering accommodation in 3 barns and a holiday cottage, nestled around the courtyard of a Victorian coach-house and a 19th Century cottage. We are close to Dereham and great for an unforgettable holiday in Norfolk.

All of our properties are finished to the highest standard to provide luxurious accommodation. Each of the barns has a private garden to the rear, whilst Hedgehog Cottage has a large enclosed garden. All the properties boast glorious views over rural Norfolk and farmland and have access to a patio, with garden furniture, for al fresco dining. Hare Barn sleeps 5, all the other properties sleep 4. We have travel cots and high chairs available.

The accommodation offers rustic charm and character, including original brickwork, traditional beams and toasty wood-burning stoves. They are all equipped with modern kitchens, quality bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms for a restful night’s sleep.

Owl Barn – Sleeps 4: This charming barn includes an upstairs bedroom suite with a sumptuous four-poster bed, en suite shower room and TV. Additionally, there is a twin room and family bathroom. A double-sided wood-burning stove serves both the kitchen and lounge, whilst French doors open onto the patio and enclosed garden.

Pheasant Barn – Sleep 4: Our superb barn includes an upstairs bedroom suite with a king-size bed and en suite room. There is also a twin en suite room and a downstairs WC. A double-sided wood-burning stove is set between the kitchen and lounge, with French doors opening onto the patio and enclosed garden.

Hare Barn – Sleep 5: This fabulous barn has a twin and single room, plus a family shower room. An upstairs bedroom suite consists of a king-size bed and en suite bathroom. The lounge comes with a wood-burning stove for the chillier months and French doors open onto the patio and enclosed garden.

Hedgehog Cottage – Sleeps 4: Our delightful cottage comes with two upstairs bedrooms: a king and twin room. On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with a bath and shower, plus a separate WC. The cosy lounge has a wood-burning stove and French doors open onto the enclosed garden area.

The area is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with an abundance of routes to enjoy, including the Nar Valley Way and the Peddar’s Way. You can also take a more leisurely stroll around the scenic Norfolk countryside. The National Cycle Network has two major cycle routes, with the 54 mile Thetford to Fakenham Route 13 passing close by to the village. Great attractions to visit in the area include:
