Located on the banks of Costa Beck, Low Costa Mill is set in a peaceful haven on the outskirts of Pickering, North Yorkshire. The ancient 'Costa Beck' dates back to the 1200s and in times gone by this played an important part, powering the working mill wheel. We now provide a relaxing setting for 7-holiday cottages.

Grouped around and adjacent to the Low Costa Mill farmhouse, the collection of 7 cottages have been skilfully and sympathetically adapted from a former farm and mill building. The cottages retain many original features, such as exposed beams brickwork and stone walls. The cottages include well-equipped kitchens, toasty open fires, Freeview TV and a Blu-ray player, conventional and microwave ovens. All except Carters Cottages have dishwashers.

Carter's Cottage: This one-bedroomed ground floor cottage comes with a twin/king room and is next to the duck pond.

Farrier's Cottage: Our ground floor cottage has a twin and double room and is next to the duck pond.

Harvester Cottage: This two-storey cottage has a double room, a twin room and a single room and overlooks the play area.

Heron View: Our spacious granary conversion has 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms, offering lovely views over the stream and open countryside.

Leat Cottage: This ground floor cottage boasts views over the stream and garden and has a king and twin bedroom.

The Granary: Our two-storey cottage has two 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom.

Thresher Cottage: This comfortable two-bedroom cottage is next to the swimming pool and has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.

The cottages benefit from being set in 10 acres of gardens and woodland. A large lawn provides an area for relaxing, games including giant snakes and ladders, hopscotch or draughts. A climbing frame, swings and garden toys should keep the children entertained allowing the adults to relax. We have four secure cycle-pods, a bike wash and a bike tool-kit available for bike enthusiasts. Whatever the weather, you can be guaranteed hours of fun in the indoor heated swimming pool. For the little ones, there is an adjacent children�s pool - all are open from 9 am to 9 pm the whole year-round.

For Fly fishing fanatics, this comes free of charge too & you will find the Costa beck is well stocked with trout & grayling. You may even catch a glimpse of the resident kingfishers & the shy grey heron going about his business.

We have a separate paddock onsite in for exercising your dog, and some public woodland only 2 minutes away which is great for longer walks.

The surrounding countryside is superb for walkers, cyclists & wildlife enthusiasts. Horse riding is available at several stables in the area too & golfers are �well catered for�, with 18 hole courses a few miles down the road at Kirbymoorside, Malton and Ganton.
