Burnfoot Holiday Cottages are situated on the outskirts of Netherton near Rothbury in beautiful Northumberland. The holiday cottages are a great base for exploring Northumberland National Park as well as its spectacular coastline.

Cheviot View is a luxury self catering holiday cottage on the edge of Northumberland National Park, near Alnwick, Cragside, Hadrian's Wall and Rothbury, as well as Bamburgh, Craster and Seahouses on Northumberland's Heritage Coast. Created from Lord Armstrong's original turbine house and restored with the help of The National Trust, it is the largest holiday home at Burnfoot and boasts stunning views of the Cheviot Hills.

The Mill was created from the original mill at Burnfoot, this L-shaped one level holiday cottage, with a very large terrace affording views over a burn where salmon and sea trout run every year, offers an ideal base for a small group or two families holidaying together in Northumberland.

The Granary is an L-shaped holiday cottage created from the original grain store and chicken coop, this one level, self catering holiday cottage offers the last word in open plan living. It is extremely light and spacious and has terraces at the front and rear from which to enjoy fantastic views of the Cheviots and Northumberland National Park.

The Forge was created from Lord Armstrong's workshop, it now offers exceptionally stylish holiday cottage accommodation on one-level with a terrace overlooking the spot where our heron fishes in the burn.

The Hemmel was created from the original hemmel, meaning 'cattle shed', The Hemmel no longer houses cattle and has become the epitome of comfort, tranquility and style. With disabled access, this one-level holiday cottage is especially suitable for less able guests seeking self catering accommodation in Northumberland.

West Lodge was created from the original hay store for the hemmel, but now with a wood-burning stove and large glazed doors, this one-level holiday cottage is the perfect base for exploring rural and coastal Northumberland.

Sandpiper Cottage was originally the cart shed and now offers cosy accommodation for 4, great for a family getaway.

Heron was on the site of the original cart shed and is ideal for couples and small families visiting Northumberland.

Curlew and Heron are near-identical cosy self-catering holiday cottages on the edge of Northumberland National Park.

Kingfisher Cottage is a cosy former cart shed that has an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, plus a double and single bedroom.

Wagtail Cottage sleeps 2 and includes an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The double room includes a Velux roof light.

There are secure storage racks for bicycles and there is a range of outdoor play equipment for children, including trampolines, swings and a slide. As well as feeding the ponies, young imaginations can be fired by the otters, deer, badgers, salmon, owls, kingfishers and many other rare birds that can be seen regularly from the cottages.

Netherton village is just a short walk from the cottages (approximately ¼ mile). The village boasts The Star Inn, an unspoiled gem of a pub. Privately owned and unchanged in 80 years, it is one of only ten in England and Wales to have appeared in every single one of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide since it was first published in 1974 - it is certainly an experience!

Rothbury, only a ten-minute drive away, benefits from a supermarket, bakeries, restaurants and tearooms, as well as a wealth of antique and craft shops and art galleries. The award-winning delicatessen and independent grocer, Tully's of Rothbury, can deliver food and beverages, including organic ready-to-eat meals, direct to all the holiday cottages at Burnfoot. Rothbury also has comprehensive healthcare facilities in case of emergency. There is a small petrol station in Thropton, en route to Rothbury.
