Dunkeld Holidays offer 4 star self catering holiday accommodation for up to two people in Perthshire, the very heart of Scotland. Both of our beautiful and traditional holiday cottages and both situated in Trochry near the town of Dunkeld, one of the best preserved historic towns in Scotland and famous for its fantastic walks and breathtaking surroundings.

North Mill: North Mill Cottage is a stylish, modern conversion of the old threshing mill at Meikle Trochry Farm, built in or earlier than the farmhouse, which has 1843 above the door.

Our North Mill Cottage has ground floor easy access with stairs lit by lights on each steep leading to a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove. Large French doors open to the balcony which is perfect for sitting outdoors and enjoying the idyllic, peaceful surroundings. There is a well equipped kitchen with electric hob & oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. Downstairs is a beautiful king sized bedroom and en suite bathroom that has a massive shower with a dinner plate sized shower head and luxurious underfloor heating.

South Mill: South Mill overlooks the Mill Lade and has its own entrance via large double doors. The massive stone above the door is the original lintel, probably dates from before or around 1843, which is the date above the main farmhouse.

Leading upstairs, follow the twinkling lights in each step, is a sitting room with double French doors opening onto the balcony and a conveniently situated kitchen also. Guests can cook; enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of something stronger while sitting eye level with stunning countryside surroundings. There is a wide circular dining table and side table made from the old mill wheels. Downstairs is a bedroom which has a zip and link bed, so it can either be a twin room or super king room. The en suite bathroom has a bath with a shower over and luxurious underfloor heating.

Included as standard with our cottages is Egyptian cotton bed linen, super size towels, everyday basic household goods, heating, electricity, logs for the wood burners and free Wi-Fi so all you need to bring is yourselves, man’s best friend and groceries!

There is plenty to do in the stunning area of Dunkeld and surrounding Perthshire with local theatres & concert halls, lots of ancient walks, fishing, bird watching, glorious gardens, castles and cathedrals, one thing is certain, you certainly won’t be short of things to do here.
