Bryncoed B&B has panoramic hill views extending over the town of Rhanyder to the Elan Valley and is an ideal place to say with easy access to Llandrindod. Rhayder and the Elan Valley are internationally renowned as being in the centre of the Red Kite Country where these magnificent birds of prey can be seen wheeling in the skies all year round.

Caban Coch - This is a family room with 2 single beds and a bunk bed. The bunk bed is full size and is ideal for cyclists, fishermen or simply someone who just wants a fair priced room. It has tea and coffee making facilities and a TV & DVD player. The bathroom is opposite the room and has a shower and heating if needed.
Claerwen – This B&B room has a double bed and its own bathroom which has a bath and a shower. Tea & coffee making facilities are available in the room along with a TV and heating if needed. This room at the B&B has magnificent views over the Cambrian Mountains.
Garreg Ddu - Perfect for a family of 3, the B&B room has a double bed and a single bed. The room also offers tea and coffee making facilities, TV and heating. From the window you can see brilliant views out to the Elan Valley.
The area around Rhayader offers some of the best game fishing opportunities in Wales. There are rivers and lakes abounding with trout, grayling, chub, salmon, and pike. The Rhayader and Elan Valley Angling Association offer fishing on the Rivers Wye and Elan along with some wild trout fishing in Claerwen reservoir and the Claerwen River.
The local area has breath taking views, the thundering sound of the magnificent Elan Valley Dams and the truly delightful sight of wild Red Kites soaring above in their natural environment all combine to make a visit to the area one which is not to be missed.
Originally constructed to supply water to the Midlands, the four visible dams (one other lies totally submerged) which can be found in the Elan Valley have attracted visitors ever since their construction. So popular have they become that the area is now often described as the "Lake District of Wales."
The Dams are within a couple of miles of Rhayader and are easily accessible, either by car, bike or on foot for the more energetic.
Rhayader itself is a small, friendly market town situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of Wales. The town is within easy reach of various tourist attractions while nearby Llandrindod Wells has a variety of shops, a Friday Market and a station on the picturesque Central Wales Railway which winds its way through mile upon mile of open countryside, from the historic town of Shrewsbury in the north to Swansea in the south.
The area is ideally suited for those wishing to tour the region by car or motorcycle, cycle or walk along tranquil country lanes or simply relax in peaceful surroundings.
For the more active amongst you, the Rhayader Leisure Centre is situated quite close to Bryncoed and offers many facilities including a swimming pool, squash court and fitness room.
