North Hill Farm, Church Stretton, Shropshire
North Hill Farm is set on a hilltop overlooking one of the most lovely valleys in Shropshire, with majestic views of the surrounding hills. It is an ideal place to stay for anyone who loves the peace of the countryside.
You can leave your car at the house and walk over the surrounding hills which are part of the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On clear nights the full impact of the stars in pollution free darkness is wonderful.
Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Ironbridge are all around 30 minutes away by car. We are ideally placed for visiting Acton Scott Historic Farm as seen on TV.
The unspoiled beauty of this part of the border country has a wealth of bird life including buzzards, red kites, woodpeckers and ravens - frequently seen performing their aerobatics above the farm - and a big variety of song-birds.
The Long Mynd is only a short distance away by car and there are several good pubs within easy reach for eating out.
Bed and full English breakfast with our own free range eggs in an interesting menu with plenty of options for vegetarians from £32.50 per person.
Breakfast includes fish options.
The rooms look out over the valley and all have TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a cosy guests' sitting room for relaxing as well as a summer house and if the weather is suitable the terrace is ideal for an evening drink to watch the sun set behind Caer Caradoc.
Free WIFI access.
Our rooms are named after the birds which live around us.
