The Lordleaze Hotel, once an 18th Century farmhouse, is a fine country hotel offering the finest bed and breakfast accommodation with a warm and friendly atmosphere set in a secluded area of Chard, Somerset.

However, don’t miss Chard’s own museum with its display of John Stringfellow’s first powered aeroplane. Chard, where John Stringfellow invented the first powered aeroplane, is situated on the A30 London-Exeter road and just a few miles from junction 25 on the M5 at Taunton.

We are approximately halfway between Marble Arch & Land's End! Exit the A303 at Ilminster and head for Chard - a perfect stop off or centre for touring.
