Wookey Farm is a charming low-impact, eco campsite in Wookey, nestled in a gorgeous countryside setting. We are based on a small family-run dairy goat farm near the cathedral city of Wells, perfect for an idyllic break in Somerset.

Our picturesque site is the ideal place to escape from the pressure of modern life, boasting amazing views of the Mendip Hills. You can wake up to the song of birdsong and children can pet the animals to complete a truly authentic rural experience.

We welcome tents, campervans, motorhomes and trailer tents. Mains drinking water is available and there is also an electric car charging point in front of the main barn. Please note there are no showers. You can enjoy some wonderful home-produced goodies in our farm shop, including milk, cheese, yoghurts, ice cream and meat.

Onsite there are two level camping fields:

Campsite 1 includes:

• Marked out pitches – Spacious 11m x 11m pitches + 4 smaller pitches in the trees

• Campfire areas next to pitches and logs for sale

• Individual recycling bins on pitches

• Chemical disposal point

• Electrical hook-ups on the larger pitches

• Picnic tables on the larger pitches

• Mains cold water (so no need for bottled water)

• Compost loos and dishwashing areas

Campsite 2 – the meadow field includes:

Open meadow – you choose your space.

One large communal campfire area or bring your own firepit.

The stream-like river Axe borders the meadow field.

Mains cold water (so no need for bottled water).

Communal recycling with food waste bins to take to your food prep area.

We are a haven for outdoor lovers, with an abundance of glorious walking and cycling routes in the area. You can enjoy the West Mendip Way, the Strawberry Line and Glastonbury Tor. The River Axe runs through the farm and is shallow and safe enough for paddling and damn building. Visit the ancient city of Wells, home to independent shops, restaurants, Bishops Palace and its world-famous cathedral. Great attractions to visit include:
