Labrador Welfare

Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Labrador Welfare is a small charity which re-homes Labrador Retrievers within North Derbyshire, South Cheshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the North East. Our charity is run by a group of unpaid and dedicated volunteers.

We rescue Labrador Retrievers who need new homes. When a dog is handed over for adoption they have taken into kennels. This makes life better and easier for the dog. Potential adopters also have the chance to meet the dog chosen for them without any pressure. We can thoroughly assess the dogs while they stay with us, ensuring we can match the dogs with their new owners.

Labrador Welfare only invites people to meet the dog they have been matched with. Visits to the kennels are by appointment and when we match dogs to their new owners we take into account the dogs background: are they used to children, cats and other animals etc.

Please check our website for the dogs that currently need homes. There is also the possibility that other dogs have been made available for adoption before our website has been updated please enquire for details. We usually have a number of dogs available, but male dogs aged between 1 to 8 years old are the most common. We look for a number of requirements when giving a dog a new home. For example, at least one person should be home most of the day and where possible we prefer a secure garden with a five foot fence etc.

We are grateful for donations of any kind.
