Street Head Farm is a traditional 18th Century Yorkshire Dales Farmhouse, standing in open farmland with spectacular views. It is situated on our working dairy and sheep farm, several fields away from the farmstead, and approached by a separate road. Great care has been taken to retain Street Headís original charm, whilst providing all the facilities for home from home comforts. The Little Cottage lies on Hill Cross, a steep little street which was once the main road northwards from the river crossing at Ashford in the Water. This road was part of The Portway, an Iron Age route from the Derby area to the hill fort of Mam Tor, in the Hope Valley.
On entering via the front door you go into the comfortable lounge, which has two settees, TV and a set of open stairs leading to the first floor.
