Visited Port Beag Chalets 14-21 June. It was by chance that I found this holiday accommodation as we needed to take our dogs.
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking driving… read more from Ullapool then as we followed the 15mile single track road with plenty of passing places there were so many wow’s finally seeing the Summer Isles as we descended to the coast and our accommodation.
Our chalet “Rowan” was a short distance from the four main chalets as we only needed 2 bedrooms. It was cosy and clean with everything we needed for our stay. The bed was especially comfortable. The decking had outside furniture and a bbq. The secure gate was great not having to worry when the dogs were outside. Rowan had a large garden which led to the rocks on the coastline.
We had arranged for some basics to be delivered by Achiltibuie Stores and Theresa made sure everything was left in the fridge for our arrival. Linda the owner had left complimentary local jam and home baked shortbread and with a cheery welcome visit in the evening bought along some of her chocolate brownie which is the best we’ve ever tasted, resulting in buying more in the week from the stores.
We will definitely return and next time stay for 2 weeks due to the long drive for us and explore more of what we didn’t have time for.

My husband and I stayed in chalet Fir with our dog. We stayed for just 4 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. After a long… read more drive we arrived at the chalet and immediately we were taken back by the view and the stunning location.
Outside the chalet there was a lovely secure decking area for our dog to happily potter about while we unpacked the car. Inside, we received a lovely welcome package of fresh wild flowers, brownies, shortbread and jam all hand made by Linda (we then spent a small fortune buying more brownies as gifts as they were so yummy!)
The chalet was lovely and clean with absolutely everything we could have needed and more. The beds were comfortable and we loved waking up to the views from the windows.
We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend the chalets.
Thank you to Linda for making us feel welcome and for replying so quickly to all my messages!
The hard work of the team here really pays off!
We would love to visit again! More
