Braeside is a three-bedroomed cottage which accommodates five people. It is situated between the sea and the hills above the small village of Craighouse on the beautiful Isle of Jura – just across the Sound of Islay from the Isle of Islay.

With clear sea views towards the east and hill views facing west, Braeside is the perfect holiday retreat for all those who enjoy 'getting away from it all' and who enjoy stunning remote landscapes with the constantly changing visual drama of the sea.

Braeside is a bungalow built with accommodation all on one floor.

The large lounge which occupies the full width of the house gives panoramic views of the sea at the front and the hills at the rear. The room, which enjoys both morning and evening sunshine, is furnished with a comfortable leather suite and is well equipped with electric heating providing a comfortable and welcoming environment. Birds are encouraged to visit the feeders near the front window and a supply of grain is provided! The view to the sea is constantly changing and the regular arrival and departure of yachts in the bay adds to the interest. Amenities in the lounge include large flat-screen colour television, CD player/radio with selection of (mainly classical) CDs.

The kitchen has an electric cooker, automatic washing machine, fridge / freezer, microwave cooker, electric kettle, toaster, pour-on coffee maker, coffee grinder, ample cooking utensils, china and cutlery. For those who prefer not to cook – or to give the cook a day off! – the Jura Hotel provides bar meals and a full restaurant service and the Antlers tearoom (just below Braeside) offers teas, coffees and lunches.

The bathroom has a full length bath over which there is a ‘power’ shower.

There are three bedrooms, a double, a single and a twin. All are well furnished and provide comfortable accommodation for up to five people. The double and single face the sea whilst the twin faces the hills. Please note: The beds are fully equipped with pillows and downies but sheets and towels (and tea towels!) are NOT provided.

There is unlimited free wifi available at Braeside.
