The George Hotel dates back to 1770 and offers luxurious guest accommodation in Inverary, Argyll. Our pet friendly hotel is the perfect place to stay for those who to explore the Scottish Highlands.

The hotel has 17 guest rooms, all of which have been sensitively styled to blend with the history and architecture of the building. All of the hotel rooms are unique and have added luxuries that you don’t get in any standard hotel. The deluxe master and superior master rooms all come with Nespresso machines and comfortable seating areas and all hotel rooms are en suite. There are 6 master rooms, 4 deluxe master rooms (with four poster or extra large bed and Jacuzzi) as well as the Merchants room or Library,

Breakfast can be served in your room between 8am and 10am, on request. Food is served from 12 noon – 9pm in our hotel restaurant. The emphasis on the menu is using the very best of local quality, well hung West Highland beef and lamb. Seafood and fish bought from the local fishing port of Tarbert and the famous Loch Fyne salmon. These ingredients are used imaginatively and simply to produce well cooked meals at a fair and reasonable price.

Inveraray is the perfect touring centre 2 hours from Edinburgh and Perth; we are only 1.5 hours from Stirling, Fort William, Campbeltown and the Trossachs. It is 1 hour from Dunoon, Tarbert, Oban, Glen Coe and Loch Tay. With this abundance of varied and diverse interests and places to see, every possible interest and taste are on your doorstep.
