Inver Caravan Park is a small, pet friendly campsite set in the beautiful village of Dunbeath in Caithness in the picturesque Scottish Highlands. Our caravan and camping site is open all year and is 4 Star Rated with Visit Scotland.

Our friendly campsite welcomes every type of caravan, motorhome, tents and just about everything else in between! We have 19 pitches and have 10 hard standings with plenty of smooth grass for tents and for caravans. Motorhomes must park on hard standings. We have some surrounding trees for shelter, 15 electric hook ups, mains water, recycling facilities and a dump station for disposal of grey water and chemical toilet disposal. The roads in the caravan park are tarred and gritted, and therefore not muddy, whatever the weather or season.

Our facilities block underwent a complete renovation and extension and now has double glazing, lots of insulation, underfloor heating and is tiled from floor to ceiling. We have 3 private unisex shower rooms with power showers and automatic hand driers; one is very suitable for disabled visitors. In addition, we have a bathroom.

In our separate kitchen/laundry area we have a washing machine, sink for hand washing clothes and an iron and ironing table. We do not have a tumble drier, however we do encourage people to dry clothes on the washing line to make use of the plentiful wind but we also have pulleys in our drying room where clothes are guaranteed to dry overnight when this is necessary. We have a new double sink and drainer with plenty of work surfaces to put dishes on.

We also have 1 dog friendly static caravan on site that sleeps up to 4 people. Our pet friendly caravan has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, gas central heating and freestanding sofas in the lounge area. It's very comfortable. We do welcome well behaved dogs in this caravan but we kindly ask that they are not allowed on the furniture and owners must bring suitable bedding, towels, bowls etc. for their dog.

Our campsite is a great base from which the explore Dunbeath's stunning countryside and historic sites. Dunbeath Castle is just a short drive from us and the village of Caithness is rich in prehistoric remains from Neolithic times and a stunning place to explore Scotland's history. There is also excellent bird watching to be seen from our campsite and lots of local surrounding coastal and scenic country walks.
