Laugharne (Talacharn) is a township in, lying on the estuary of the River Tâf. It is best known for the work of Famous Poet Dylan Thomas from 1949 until his death in 1953. The Boat House is open to the public where he wrote ‘Under Milk Wood’ and ‘Poem on His Birthday’. The other attraction in Laugharne is the Castle which dates back to the early twelfth century. You will also find restuarants, pubs, gift shops and café.
