Gallen-Treath Guest House offers lovely accommodation situated at Porthallow near St Keverne in the magnificent country of Cornwall. Situated on the Lizard Peninsula with spectacular coastal views we are perfectly situated for those wishing to explore the area further.
All our bedrooms are en suite and are individually decorated and have beverage facilities and Freeview TV. There is a second floor lounge with balcony and a patio/garden area for total relaxation.
Our menu is varied, catering for those who like the traditional full English breakfast, vegetarians, folks with special diets (please let us know your requirements) and small eaters. Flexible breakfast times are available for anyone diving, walking or working in the area. We also offer a three course evening meal (please book in advance) and we are a licensed premises.
Eating out - The Five Pilchards pub in the village is currently open all year round serving meals all week except on Tuesdays. Nearby St. Keverne has The Three Tuns, The White Hart and The Greenhouse organic restaurant. There’s also Roskillys farm which offers meals, cream teas and gifts.
The Coastpath - We are approximately 1.5 minutes walk from the South West Coast Path and Porthallow is the halfway point - come and take your photo by the granite marker on the beach.
Diving - This is very popular in the area due to the wrecks and wildlife. Porthkerris dive centre and Dive Action are just around the corner.
Gardens - Not far away is the Helford River where Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens are situated. Trevarno, the other side of Helston, also has a fascinating gardening museum and, on the Lizard itself, there are other private gardens and the lovely Bosahan.
