Trengilly Wartha Inn, Constantine, Falmouth, Cornwall
The Trengilly Wartha is situated in a small hamlet in an area designated as being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, about one mile from the village of Constantine. The dog friendly inn nestles in the wooded valley of Polpenwith creek, surrounded by six acres of our own gardens and meadows.
The Trengilly's bar is a friendly Cornish local inn, with a good mix of people eating and drinking, or both! Being a free house we offer a choice of unusual ales, several of which are served straight from the stillages.
We feature up to twenty wines by the glass and a selection of over 150 by the bottle. We also specialise in malt whiskies with over 40 available. Our bar menu is available during lunchtimes and evenings. The selection includes several of the more popular dishes as well as some more unusual ones. Enjoy them by a blazing fire in winter, or under our vine shaded pergola in summer. Our pretty beer garden has fine views of the valley.
The Bistro is furnished with handmade furniture made by local students for a cabinet making course. There is a regulars favourites Bistro menu as well as the burgeoning specials board. Three top Cornish chefs compete to put specials on the board. This covers a range of locally produced meats and game, with fish and shellfish from local waters, modern vegetarian dishes, rich imaginative desserts and Cornish cheeseboard with homemade biscuits, all cooked under supervision of the owners.
The Bistro is available for private functions, including small wedding parties.
There are 11 guest bedrooms available at the inn which are a range of room types, all our rooms have a TV/DVD player (we have DVDs to borrow in the breakfast room) as well as coffee and tea making facilities and biscuits. There are also 2 rooms available in the Garden Annex which are en suite.
New for 2018, stabling for horses available, making the perfect holiday for horses too. Whether you’re taking part in an event in the area, or if you simply want to enjoy a riding holiday with direct access to the Cornish countryside, then we have all of the facilities needed.
The area surrounding the dog friendly inn is ideal for dog walking and investigating the coastline and towns nearby.
