Details

Calamansac (East Wing), Calamansac (West Wing) & Calamansac (Sail Loft). Calamansac forms the western headland of Port Navas Creek overlooking the Helford River. The houses stand in 50 acres of meadow garden and woodland, wonderful for spring flowers. The woods drop down to Port Navas Creek to the east and Helford River to the south and west. It is secluded, 7 miles from Falmouth and close to the village of Port Navas.

Access is by a steep private road, about half a mile long, leading from the centre of the village.

East Wing sleeps 11, West Wing sleeps 9 and Sail Loft sleeps 7.

Calamansac provides a unique opportunity for launching dinghies at all states of the tide and in any weather. There is a road through the wood to a slipway and a safe anchorage with a lock-up boathouse for storage of gear. Calamansac provides superb access to the water, the Helford and its fascinating Creeks;- dinghy parking, launching and mooring for your own boat and a range of boats for hire, all by arrangement. Please call our office for further information and tariffs.

Sail Loft, purpose-built, is designed to maximise enjoyment from the 1st floor living accommodation of the superb view of the river to Merthen Woods, towards Polwheveral and Frenchman's Creeks. There are walks through Anemone and Bluebell woods, Camelia, Hydrangea and Rose plantings.

Falmouth is a vibrant seaside town offering plenty of activities whatever the weather. The bustling town centre is adorned with unique shops and boutiques, as well as the standard high street stores, and a great array of waterside restaurants and pubs.

Cornwall's largest port and the third deepest natural harbour in the world; Falmouth, with its pretty creeks and family orientated beaches, is a fantastic location for water lovers and those wishing to explore the sea.

Getting about could not be easier. Leave your car behind and climb aboard one of the many pleasure boats and ferries which ply the local waters to St Mawes, Flushing, Smuggler's Cottage at Tolverne, Truro and the Helford Passage. Yachts with skippers can be chartered by the day.
