Kirkstone Foot Self Catering Apartments are situated in two acres of landscaped grounds just outside the centre of Ambleside in the Lake District. We are in an ideal location to explore the area. We have six pet friendly apartments.

Fairfield - Sleeps 2: This pet friendly apartment has it’s own private entrance, adjacent to which there is a new patio table and two chairs to take in the sun! The open plan lounge leads to a range of modern fitted kitchen units tastefully extended to incorporate a breakfast bar extension. This apartment has a double bedroom.

Duddon - Sleeps 2: This apartment is pet friendly and has twin bedded accommodation. The open plan lounge leads to a range of modern fitted kitchen units tastefully extended to incorporate a breakfast bar extension. The apartment is comfortable and cosy, with a warm appearance from the cream and claret kitchen and lounge furnishings. The twin bedroom is separate and tastefully decorated. It has its own private entrance, adjacent to which there is a new patio table and two chairs to take in the sun!

The Nook - Sleeps 2: The Nook is part of the Manor House, but with it’s own private entrance. It is situated near to the shingle path which leads down to Ambleside. The furnishings and co-ordinated décor are of our usual high standard, offering very comfortable sitting and dining accommodation. An attractive double bedroom is well appointed, and a modern separate bathroom completes this retreat. Due to it’s positioning, The Nook does feel like a secluded hideaway, and yet gives easy access to the path to the village. There is now your own outside seating, a table and two chairs to further enhance your stay!

Cartmel - Sleeps 2: Tucked away in the corner of the courtyard of the Coach House, and therefore being convenient for anyone wanting easy access to the grounds, the apartment has it’s own private entrance, adjacent to which there is a new patio table and two chairs to take in the sun. The open plan lounge leads to a range of modern fitted kitchen units tastefully extended to incorporate a breakfast bar extension. The apartment is comfortable and cosy, with a warm appearance from the cream and claret kitchen and lounge furnishings. The double bedroom is separate and tastefully decorated. A separate modern bathroom completes this very popular choice, with or without your dog, you will be assured of a happy stay in Cartmel.

Loughrigg - Sleeps 3: It has its own private entrance accessed via five steps, and has a small enclosed paved area, near the shingle path that leads down to Peggy Hill and Ambleside. All rooms are on the same level. There is a small hall which leads into the large, very attractive, lounge/dining area and open plan kitchen. The décor is of our usual high standard with superb furnishings and appliances. There is a single bedroom and a spacious double bedroom, with king size bed. The modern bathroom is separate and beautifully fitted out. This apartment does indeed feel like a Lakeland hideaway, although part of the Manor House, the fact that it is close to the path to Ambleside gives the feeling of complete privacy. For three guests with dogs, or even two guests who prefer more room, everyone enjoys staying in Loughrigg.

Ghyllside - Sleeps 4: Ghyllside, on the ground floor, has it’s own private entrance, the accommodation is for four and is dog friendly. Access to the apartment is via a pebbled and paved path and down five steps through the garden area. There is one step also by the front door. All rooms are on the same level. The entrance is directly into the comfortable, attractive lounge, then through to the large separate kitchen and dining area, modern and fully fitted out. All the furnishings and décor are of our usual high standard throughout. There is a lovely double bedroom and an equally attractive twin bedroom. This apartment can also be let for two guests, if only one bedroom is used, at the price quoted for a three person apartment. (excluding Easter, Christmas and New Year). A luxurious family bathroom completes this high class accommodation.
