Milburn Grange Holiday Cottages in Knock, Milburn, in Cumbria, provides idyllic self catering accommodation in a breath taking rural setting. Situated amongst gardens and pasture and close to the Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are the perfect holiday destination.

All our holiday cottages are centrally heated and well equipped, each has a fitted kitchen with full size oven, hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The holiday cottages have a full size bathroom, except Holly cottage and The Studio (apartment) which both have a shower room. All other cottages offer a bath and a shower. Each cottage has a colour TV and access to clothes washing/drying facilities either in the cottage or a communal utility room. The larger holiday cottages are provided with dishwashers. For the benefit of non-smokers we ask that our guests refrain from smoking inside the cottages.

Appleby - ten minutes by car from Milburn Grange, on the banks of the River Eden is the picturesque market town of Appleby, the former County town of Westmorland. Appleby offers a range of traditional shops, a public swimming pool, fishing (permits available locally), golf and a fine Norman castle.

The Eden Vale- half a million acres of some of the most breath taking landscapes of England are on our doorstep. The Eden Vale is surrounded by the North Pennines to the East, the mountains of Lakeland to the West, the Howgill Fells and Mallerstang to the South. The charm of this area is its illusion of remoteness, although easily accessable from the M6 motorway, the A66 and major rail routes.

The Lake District National Park - within easy access by road from Milburn Grange. Whether a walker or sightseeing by car, enjoy the spectacular scenery of the English Lakes from the peace and comfort of your base in one of our cottages. Ullswater, the nearest of the Lakes, is only 25 minutes by car.
