The Oddfellows Arms offers wonderful accommodation, great food and superb drinks in Caldbeck near Wigton. We are close to the centre of the village and perfect for visiting a range of famous attractions in Cumbria.

The restaurant at the Oddfellows has been converted from the original barn. It can seat 60 - 70 with plenty of room. Large parties of up to 50 can be accommodated with a special menu. If staying over the weekend it is always best to book a table as the food has a good reputation locally and we are often fully booked. This is where our guests also take their breakfasts.

The bar is open all day, every day from 11 o'clock. This is the focal point of the Oddfellows Arms. It has three separate areas. The cosy lower area is a no-smoking area, while the other lounge area has a dartboard and a pool table area off. You can take bar snacks in any of these areas, while during the winter months you may well see the local pool, darts and domino teams in action.

The pub, a Grade II Listed building stands in the middle of Caldbeck village, which is preserved as a conservation area in the Lake District National Park. It is self-contained with a private garage, Post Office and shops. Peppered with rivers, becks and wildlife it's a real picture-postcard Lakeland village, a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the northern fells.

We are the ideal base for visiting Carlisle the North and Western Lakes, Solway Coast and Hadrians Wall. Cockermouth, a bustling market town and the birthplace of William Wordsworth is only a few miles away and the capital of the Northern lakes, Keswick is less than half an hour's drive towards Bassenthwaite Lake.
