Over Brandelhow is set high on the slopes of Catbells with spectacular views down the Borrowdale Valley and its stunning mountain scenery. It is the perfect base for a self catering holiday in this most beautiful part of the Lake District National Park with great walks directly from the doorstep. We are dog friendly of course.
The cottage is very spacious and sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms, two double bedrooms on the ground floor (one can be made into a twin on request) and one twin with en suite shower room upstairs. There is a large family bathroom downstairs with a large bath and a separate shower cubicle.
Simplicity and comfort are paramount whilst being warm and friendly. Slate and ash floors, oak doors throughout, an electric wood burning effect stove and a handmade kitchen, all individually designed for Over Brandelhow.
There are lots of beautiful walks right from the doorstep as you can imagine, we have direct access onto Catbells and the Allerdale Ramble from the cottage. The lake is a lovely stroll downhill through Manesty Woods. The Borrowdale Valley and the majestic Honister Pass are just down the road. Picturesque Grange in Borrowdale is about a mile with its famous double bridge.
