Honister Cottage offers wonderful self catering accommodation in Seatoller, just a short drive from the bustling Cumbrian market town of Keswick. We are surrounded by the magnificent fells of the Borrowdale Valley and great for a relaxing getaway.

Our gorgeous cottage dates from the 1600s and has been beautifully restored to offer quality accommodation whilst retaining its original character. The cottage features a traditional cast iron fire range, the original stone staircase, floors, oak beams and oak panelling. In total, the cottage sleeps 6 people, ideal for a family or group getaway.

On the ground floor, there is a well-equipped kitchen which a range of appliances for home cooking. Unwind in the traditional lounge after a day of sightseeing, with facilities including an old cast iron-range, sofa and dining area for up to 6 people. You can also relax in the first-floor lounge and catch your favourite show on the flat-screen TV which has an Amazon Firestick for Netflix and Prime.

On the first floor, there are 3 attractive bedrooms. Bedroom 1 includes a super king-size bed, en suite bathroom and TV. Bedroom 2 and 3 can be made as 2 singles or a master king. The master bathroom has a bath and shower.

Outside there is an enclosed garden that leads down the river to a seating area and BBQ for al fresco dining.

From the doorstep, you can enjoy some of the finest Lakeland fell walks and mountain biking routes. Sailing, Via Ferrata and other activities are all close by. You can also savour some stunning cakes and homemade sausage rolls in the Slate Mine Cafe which enjoying the amazing view. Experience Honister’s rich mining history at the Honister Slate Mine or visit the bustling market town of Keswick, home to a range of unique shops and art galleries.
