Felldyke Bunkhouse offers family-friendly hostel accommodation that can be found at the edge of the Lake District National Park, at Murton Bank in Cumbria. Our pet friendly hostel is within driving distance of Lamplugh and Workington as well as many attractions and places of interest in this lovely corner of England.

There are 23-bed spaces available in 3 different bunk rooms. The upstairs accommodation is in 2 separate bunk rooms, each containing 10 beds. Each upstairs room also has privacy dividers, which prevent sightlines through the room. Downstairs there is separate disabled accessible room for 2-3 people, with an adjacent wheelchair compatible bathroom. The downstairs room is Ideal for leaders and teachers should separate accommodation from a group be required. All bed spaces have a sidelight, for reading; and, all bunks and mattresses comply with fire regulations for commercial properties. These should provide a comfortable night’s sleep after a hard day on the fells.

We have invested in the right level of equipment to allow a large number of people to be catered for easily, which includes: an 8 gas ring range cooker with 2 fan ovens; 2 x 12 place setting dishwashers; a larder fridge and a second under the counter fridge; an under the counter freezer; and, plenty of food storage, chopping boards, large pans and sharp knives. Hopefully, this will keep your beer cold, your food hot and your fingers intact. If you wanted some help catering there are local suppliers which can provide pies, hog roasts, BBQ's and catering.

Immediately adjacent to the front door is a drying cupboard, fitted with a dehumidifier and radiator. This has been established to allow dirty/wet clothes and footwear to be removed and begin drying as soon as you enter the building.

After a long day exploring the area, guests and their pets can relax in the lounge. It's equipped with big comfortable sofas; a gas fire and for rainy days, we have a television and DVD player. There is no aerial, but you can watch films.
