Barley Cottage in Whittington offers fabulous self catering accommodation. We are nestled in a tranquil countryside setting near Carnforth, perfect for a magical Cumbrian getaway.

Our charming cottage is surrounded by stunning scenery and the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. The cottage is tastefully furnished and sleeps up to 3 people.

Inside there is a light and airy sitting room with comfy seating, a living flame gas fire, 40’’ smart TV with Freesat, DVD and a DAB radio. French doors open onto a lovely garden. Cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances; washing machine, dishwasher, hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and table and chairs.

Two lovely bedrooms are available, a double room and a small double room. Both rooms share a bathroom with a shower over bath.

Outside there is a small enclosed garden/patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining whilst savouring the amazing countryside views.

The delightful village of Whittington has an abundance of gorgeous walks to enjoy, whilst Kirby Lonsdale offers a fantastic walk along the River Lune. Hutton Roff Crags Nature Reserve is a lovely place to explore, whilst the Ingleton Caves offer a memorable day out. Superb attractions to visit include:
