Castle Guards Farm Retreat in Bridekirk offers wonderful glamping pods, nestled in a tranquil location. Our glamping site near Cockermouth is ideal for a memorable Cumbrian getaway.

We have 4 charming pods to choose from, based on an open valley side near beautiful ash trees. All the pods are finished to a high standard and offer everything you need for a comfy holiday in the country.

You can choose from Corn Cake, Highmoor, Tarnities and The Roans. The pods each sleep 6 people in 1 double, 1 twin and bunk beds. All the beds come with lovely bedding and towels, whilst a power shower is also available.

The pods are all equipped with a range of excellent facilities including underfloor heating, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, hob, toaster, crockery/utensils, dining table with 6 chairs and a smart TV with Freeview.

Each pod comes with an outdoor picnic table and BBQ, offering a great spot for a coffee in the afternoon sun. Enjoy a glass of bubbly in the luxurious hot tub whilst savouring the idyllic setting.

This part of the country has an abundance of stunning walking and cycling routes in the area, including the start of the National Cycle Route 10, connecting Cockermouth to North Shields via the Kielder Forest and Carlisle. Only 5 miles away is The Lakes Distillery, offering distillery tours and fine dining. Great attractions to visit include:
