Our dog friendly cottages in Denbighshire are next to each other, nestled on the banks of the River Dee in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are in a superb position to explore a variety of attractions in Denbighshire.

Riverside Cottage

Our cottage dates from the 1800s and was originally a school house. The cottage now offers quality accommodation and a range of facilities. Inside there is a spacious open living/dining room to unwind in after a day exploring. Facilities include a wood-burning stove. The well-equipped kitchen has a range of appliances: an electric oven and hob, a large fridge freezer and a dishwasher. A utility room houses a washing machine.

Bedrooms consist of 1 double room and 1 room with a triple bunk bed. A shower room comes with a toilet and downstairs there is a bathroom with a bath and handheld shower.

Outside there is grass and paved areas. You can soak yourself in the wood-fired hot tub.

Avondale

This cottage dates from 1826 and was used as a double-height chapel for the local community. The cottage retains some original features, including original double-opening front doors and original large roof timbers. Inside there is a spacious living with a log burner and a separate dining room. A well-equipped kitchen includes an electric cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher. In the porch area, there is a washing machine.

Bedrooms consist of 1 king room, 1 double, 1 triple bunk and 1 twin room. There is a bathroom with a large bath ceiling-mounted rain shower and an additional toilet. On the ground floor, there is a shower room and by the hot tub/garden, there is a further toilet.

Outside we have a wood-fired hot tub to soak your troubles away in and there are also seating and BBQ areas, plus a path directly to the river.

You can fish on The River Dee whilst staying with us. Visit the Llangollen Canal or enjoy some of the activities in the area, including canoeing and water rafting. Take a trip on The Llangollen Steam Train or visit Llandegla bike park. Attractions to visit include:
