We have excellent storage, washing and maintenance facilities for bikes and drying facilities for wet gear. It can be difficult to arrange accommodation along the Lime Stone Way and we are able to transport luggage and people so that you can stay for more than one night. Please ring for details.

Children and pets are welcome. We use just 2 of our rooms for pet friendly stays and we have a dog ourselves (not allowed in guest rooms). If you have an aversion or allergy to dogs we politely suggest you find alternative accommodation.

Our Aga cooked breakfast is locally sourced and accompanied by homemade bread and preserves. Packed lunches made on request and we have a separate kitchen for use by residents. Breakfast is served in our cosy dining room with log burner and you can relax in the lounge with books or games on rainy days.

Close to Matlock, Matlock Bath, Heights of Abraham, Gulliver's Kingdom, Cromford Mills, Tramway Museum, Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton and Ashbourne plus Steam railways at Matlock and Wirksworth. We are walking and cycling friendly with facilities for washing muddy dogs and boots and a drying room. The accommodation is midway along the Lime Stone Way, close to the Tissington and High Peak Trails.

We offer transport services along the Limestone Way or to other walks and information for walks and cycle rides from the property or further afield.

Bonsall is an old lead-mining village on the edge of the Peak District. The Limestone Way passes through the village and the Midshires Way is close. We are in the middle of some excellent walking and cycling country, with rare wildflowers, rocks, rivers and ancient trackways. The village has two attractive pubs both doing good snacks and main meals. The Barley Mow is famous as a music venue on Friday and Saturday nights and is the home of the famous Hen Racing Championships in August. Bonsall is very close to the historic area of Cromford, home of the Arkwright Mills. Matlock Bath is less than three miles away by car or a stunning walk across the hilltops. Both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are within a 20 minute drive.
