Brew House, Bakewell, Derbyshire, The Peak District
The Brew house sleeps 6/7 people and is a luxurious self catering holiday home near the centre of Bakewell in Derbyshire. Our holiday cottage is only a 500 yard walk from the centre of town and is an ideal base for those who want to explore the Peak District National Park.
Our holiday cottage is an unusual and interesting property which started life as a brewery but latterly was an artistís studio. The artist, Romey Brough's work can be seen throughout the house and should spark much debate as to who likes what.
As a result of this history the property is an upside down holiday house having a large living space with a fabulous roof light incorporating the kitchen, dining and living area at the top of the house, great for all to gather together at the end of the day and enjoy good food and wine in real comfort. Outside the living room is a lovely patio garden where you can enjoy rooftop views. The holiday cottage has 3 bedrooms, each of which has their own private facilities.
There is an open plan kitchen/dining room which is fully equipped with everything you may need during your stay. There are exposed beams, fitted units and an integral electric double oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
To ensure guests have a relaxing break we also provide a welcome pack on arrival, all linen and towels & a selection of DVDís, books and games.
With the enviable position in Bakewell, its unusual & interesting character, outstanding art work and luxurious fittings Brew House is a real treasure and as it is set in the heart of the Peak District National Park it is a perfect holiday base for all.
